Surfer Dad is a surf blog for parents. Packed full of brilliant guides, advice and witty articles on parenting and surfing. Created in 2011 by Cornish surfer dad Andrew N to document his journey as a surfer dad. A thirty-something surfer living in and loving Cornwall.
In his words “I have a wonderful little daughter, a gorgeous girlfriend, a good job and a nice house, life on paper is peachy. However I spend most of my days thinking “I’d rather be surfing”. So the idea of this blog is to provide surfing solace to a wave starved father. I plan to provide lots of great photos, surf reviews, wise words and the odd delirious rant. I hope you find some pleasure in my tortured typing.”
In 2024 Surfer Dad Blog was acquired by 10 Over Surf Ltd, the same company responsible for 10 Over Surf Shop, Longboarder Magazine and Wavelength Magazine. Company director and surfer dad to three teenagers(!) Chris Thomson comments “We’re excited to build upon this epic platform Andrew has spent many years blogging on. It’s a super fit for our media offering at Longboarder and Wavelength.”
